Reason

Adnan Sami, a multi-talented personality of Bollywood,

A wonderful singer, lyricist, pianist, talented since childhood,

Looked handsome, but obesity was not very good,

At 230kgs, he was much more than he ideally should.



The simple question he put was, “Why should I?”

“My fans loved me this way, which me a high.”

“Your life is 6 months,” said a doctor once with a sigh!

Adnan reduced 167kgs, for he got his Why.



There may be many reasons like dislike or fear,

But there might be one strong reason to steer,

Every activity you do needs this reasoning clear,

The consistency of doing the act becomes dear.

No doubt, they are the most efficient energy source,

A clear goal-setting helps them clearing the course,

Moving ahead, they become leaders of course.



Planting of a reason is similar to planting a seed,

With proper nourishment, you automatically kill the weed,

With the passage of time, you enjoy fruits of the good deed,

This success rubs to the society as well, indeed.




The day I started running, I knew the reason for the same

Winning was never a target, being fit was the only aim

In between, I experienced many good runners quit this game

I knew they quit because ‘their reasons’ now found a ‘new name’



Every submission done at DYWT has a basic thought,

The plot is planned, and then characters are brought,

Once things are clear in mind, the presentation is sought,

The Judge resonates with a few, that is what winning all about!



Stronger the why easier the how and what,

Implementation is tougher than actually thought,

The basic attribute of winning is a painful knot,

Remember, every new journey begins at naught.
