The Three controversial decisions during India Pakistan T20 world cup match

The three controversial decisions at #Indiapak #t20worldcup2022 match on 23/10/2022 and the cricketing laws regarding the same.

1) The Axar Patel runout - Though the ball hitting the stumps was evident, whether it hit first or later was the question. The only consideration the third umpire took it seems was the ball was travelling towards the stump and in all sense it would have cost the batsman his wicket. This was the most controversial decision but least discussed.

2) The 4th ball which was a full toss bowled by Nawaz was a tight call by the onfield umpire. The rule book says once an onfield umpire declares a No-ball, the Third Umpire cannot reverse the same. when the ball hit the bat, it was above waist height but Virat was out of the crease and on his front foot, this led to massive controversy. The leg umpire was composed and within his rights called it a No-ball.

3) On the Free hit ball, when Virat was clean bowled, India ran 3 runs.  Many cricketing pundits thought it was a dead ball. In a regular situation, once the ball hits the stumps, it is a dead ball but the Free hit ball is an exception to all the general rules of the books and hence Indians in their rights ran the 3 runs perfectly. Kudos to DK for taking the initiative and running fast as the ball travelled to the third man.

The entire match was evenly balanced with the pendulum oscillating towards each India for some time, the final winning team held its nerves till the end. In a team game, every member contributes but one man's contribution goes a long way to get that crown and today it was none other than King Kohli.

Another India-Pak match goes to the history books with winner decided on the last ball. God knows how many nails went into the stomach, how many fists pumped into the air, how many crackers decorated the night.. whatever happened - it was the best Diwali Gift.
