A game of swing

As the Sun went into oblivion, with fading light
Meena and Rani saw the swing and smiled with delight
The two friends enjoyed the swing reaching great height
The debate was who would swing as it was nearing to the night

Neither of the friends were ready to sacrifice
Both were mentally ready to pay any price
Except this, they were the best friends otherwise
None of them even wanted to agree, though both were wise

The two argued as a true claimant of the swing game
Best friends become worst enemies as darkest secrets when shared brings shame
Both argued and disagreed not compromising as their age was same
Other children around, now tried to catch the swing, making a silent claim

The two smart friends realised their mistake
Meena whispered to Rani an ideal step both should take
Rani agreed instantly as their playtime was at stake
Meena sat, Rani stood behind, enjoying the swing near the temple lake
