Another page in the book of life - TYBCOM Farewell party 2020

15th March 2020 .. officially completed 25 years of teaching!!!

The journey of teaching started in the year 1994-95 when 2 students (rather sisters) approached me to teach this subject of Book keeping, what started as a help, became a passion and then continued to become my proffession. The numbers increased in few months and had around 7 students for the first year. In a matter of 3 years, the number of students rose upto 100. Those days it was not classes but home tuitions where BK was being taught without a Black board. Nostalgic Memories!!!

Then the Classes era started and being the pioneer had wonderful time running classes along with a friend for 6 more years and finally starting my own venture Heramb Coaching Classes on 25th Oct 2002. At Heramb, the initial years were wonderful and still have fresh memories of all the batches and students of those batches. The celebration of our first anniversary to 10th anniversary was just more than wonderful. Just last year, 25th Oct, 2019, we celebrated 18th Anniversary of Heramb. 2 more years and we will be a 2 decade old institution. The best part of this organisation is that the core team has remained intact. Inspite of huge ups and downs throughout, the friends being a part of the core team have remained united.

15th March, 2020 was special in more than one ways. It was the in house 'Farewell Party' of our T.Y.B.com students. This marks completion of one more year in teaching.. another page in the book of life. Before this, all syllabus of XI com to S.Y.B.com being completed a week ago. This week preliminary exams of XI com were due but due to Corona Virus Outbreak, we decided to provide Question papers to them and encourage Home Study rather than gather here at classes. A day before the Govt of Maharastra gave official notification, we were ready with our plans to tackle this problem.

Coming back to Farewell party, it was a simple and short program arranged with students. Around 70 students could make it to the party (less attendance due to corona fear). The entire program was managed by the Core Volunteer team of TyBcom, this team is the find of the year and they have super coordination amongst themselves for managing any event.

The entire program was Hosted by Mr. Om, a super anchor, who held across everyone by his sweet words and actions. It was a crisp program with few students sharing their journey with Heramb in their own words. Few of pics added here for memory purpose.

After many of the students spoke their heart out, it was time for some dance and masti. Everyone shook their legs and enjoyed to the songs - Hindi/Marathi/Punjabi for some time. Then it was time for Cake cutting and Dinner. The boys and girls had arranged for some delicious cake. Also coincidence was birthday of TYBcom girl - Ms. Kanak, a super dancer herself. The volunteering team was smart enough to arrange a separate cake for the birthday gal and she cut it too. It was smiles all around.

From the teachers and staff side, Akshay Kawade, Samim Samari, Devdutt Bapat spoke their minds and it was well received. Throughout the program I was  a part of the Volunteers team and ensured that the program was conducted smootly. Next was the highlight of the day - a 11 minutes video made by the volunteering team. It captured the entire year of TYBcom students alongwith teachers and everyone enjoyed the video thoroughly.

Post the celebrations it was dinner time. Special Veg Biryani was arranged by Team Heramb for all students, teachers and staff present. Everyone enjoyed the food and left the classes with mixed reactions - a lump in the throat, a few sad faces, smiling ones.

For me personally, its a typical father-daughter realtionship with all students and the feeling on the day of her marriage erupts automatically, not knowing whether to be happy or be sad. Accepting it as a part of life and profession, one more page in this book of life turned and hoping the next page is a better read!!!

Cannot thank my core team at office, which helps us conduct all these programs so successfully!!! Thank you everyone. Stay safe, Stay blessed!!!! Best wishes to all!!!
