Bubble

Riya was happy today as exams were no more
Vacations with family was decided long before
After rounds and rounds of consultation
Parents too agreed they needed some relaxation

Hill stations to beaches were discussed as places to visit
Children were unbothered as they just wanted to move rather than sit
Since the summer season was beginning to hit
Mahabaleshwar was united decision of family, closely knit

Bags packed neatly and set up in the rear of the car
Few hand bags with eatables as destination was far
Travel was going on smoothly from city to expressway
Songs, jokes and fun with smiles around as the car sped away

Just then, a biker crossed signalling something
We chose to move ahead as we had checked everything
But his signal sowed the seeds of doubt in our mind
Confirmation happened with one more signal of same kind

With family alongside, father enquired the whereabouts
Puncture on left tyre came the reply to settle all the doubts
Further enquity  and the guy led us locate a roadside shop
Two men, not enough tools and a hutment with grass on top

The location of this garage and the men around made us nervous
No regular equipment to check puncture made us further suspicious
The guy informed Rs.100 for a single puncture to be sealed
 "Bubbles" from tube of tyre would be counted and  then billed

The real drama began as soon the men took over their roles
Bubbles started oozing out one after another indicating 15 holes
The father soon realised that this was fraud working on highway
He took charge of the situation, ignited the engine and just sped away

Driving a few kilometers ahead, he found a genuine garage
He stopped over, got his accessories checked for real damage
The bubbles which came from the tube were fake ones with soap foam
Be alert, be careful while driving on highways is the lesson driven home
