What one forgets, is to lend a hand for help

There is nothing wrong is earning money

The night lockdown was announced as a measure

Many flocked the stores to get things under pressure

Needed or not immediately did not cross their mind

In this process, did they not forget the basics of mankind?

Very close to us, amongst the many of hutments

The news of lockdown broke all their adjustments

Amongst the basic needs of life, food ranks one

Some had grains for a few days and few had none

For us, lockdown is a punishment inside four walls

Further, it cut our freedom to go to the malls

Interestingly, they had a different story altogether

The biggest challenge for them was grains to gather

However, the mankind is alive and kicking even today

For the struggle continues but they are alive every day
