See

A poem on 'See' based on 'Pregunta' in the first part and 'Haiku' in the second part Pregunta (Spanish) means Question, it is a poetic debate, Questions followed by a witty but often wise answer. It is written in couplets, containing a Question and an Answer. It can go on and on, for the purpose of this submission, I touched upon 8 questions only. Haiku is a powerful Japanese poem consisting of 3 lines only having a total of 17 syllables with 5-7-5 formations. Through small verses, powerful messages are conveyed. Pregunta: Are all the things true, that I see? No, not necessary,  a person shows only what you have to see. So, how do I know the truth beneath? Interestingly, you have to see the story complete When do you say the story is complete? In the episode of life, all stories you see are incomplete This is more confusing, what is this life game? You see, a person plays different roles in each frame So, these roles change frequently or it happens rarely? The p

Born to March

“Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday dear Vijay, Happy birthday to you!!!” Everyone clapped, whistled as young Vijay cut the cake having the cake of his favourite ‘Beetel’ car. The cake was tailor-made with a lot of creams, and a yellow colour Beetel of the famous German brand ‘Volkswagon’ standing tall true to its value. It was looking so beautiful that Vijay was not ready to cut it. However, being convinced by his parents, Anuj and Ramya, he cut the cake and then relished it. Very few instances of life, when you cut a cake and have it too. It was the 3 rd of March 2015. Vijay had turned 3 years old and the neighbours in the colony, the children around, had gathered for this fun-filled evening. After the cake was cut, there was a magic show arranged for the children, where the magician weaved magic and the crowd was laughing their hearts out. On the corner, there was a temporary tattoo maker with oil paints and children got various stuff tattooed on arms a

Jump

Jump Life is a wonderful journey of ups and downs  Its a story of some challenges lost, some glorified with crowns The golden rule to survive through this confusion is an art Follow, Never take success to head and failure to heart The vision of a person divided into smaller mission Every mission is a small battle fought with some intention Some battles may be not  even worth of a mention  Success at smallest battles deserves celebration Those battles may be smaller in the context of the war Soldiers in the team, may be ignorant and jump in the air  This jumping is their expression of happiness emotion To suppress them immediately is not a sign of a leader's direction. Taking them into confidence and illustrating negatives of celebration They realise their focus on goals may lose concentration. This ensures a team with a focused aim is in process of creation Once created, its a formality of target realisation The confidence and the euphoria after target realised needs your presence

"Did you hear, Raj was caught yesterday for drunk driving?" exclaimed Suresh, reading from a leading newspaper.  "This media wants masala, so many stories are published. Calm down" downplaying his friend's emotions, said Ashish. "No Ashish, I saw this on the news channel as well." chipped Sumesh.  "I repeat all media survives on TRP, adding names of filmstars like Raj for such cheap activities excites common people like you, so they come up with such stories." advocated Ashish.  Don't worry friends, since my cousin is a next door neighbour of Raj, I will confirm the news. *** Raj rose to fame in the past few years, thanx to his entry in 'Big Boss'. Though he was a small time actor in television serials for many years, his winning of Big Boss put him in limelight. His fan-following surged all expectations and he was talk of the town.  Success begets success. His winning of Big Boss, also made him win the coveted title of, "Mos

The word prompt made me travel time, Land me back to my school days, prime. Those days were sweet as the melody of a song, Brimming with innocence, all along. Those days every student played a game With a  friend or crush, called Flame Flame was Friendship, Love, Affectionate Marriage or Enemy, as they would resonate Finding common alphabets with two name Counting and cutting the alphabets in Flame They would arrive at a conclusion The two names would then have a relation Funny it may seem today, thinking of flame Complex relationships sorted by a word game Innocence, faith, trust within created a cult Many even ran away fearing a negative result Children today are so matured and sensible Understanding relationships are indispensable they would not test its depth by a paper game Furthermore, worry of the outcome and blame

Half

The half door closed is a half door open The positive way of life, helps fewer hearts broken A Half glass empty is half glass full Life expects one to balance the push and pull Though, Well begun is half done Completing the task on hand is real fun A danger foreseen is half-avoided Rescue and conservation can save before they are dead When someone has half a mind to do something He ends up being a loser as he fails to put 100% of anything You can't be half-pregnant is a rare idiom The commitment to succeed is maximum, it cannot be medium It's six for one and half a dozen for the other Same events have different impacts on person's experiencing it together Not half as good as something or someone else Positively keeps a person grounded, may hit the negative cells Believe nothing of what you hear and only half of what you see Rationalizes mind and avoids biased opinion of thee not know the half of it and still share amongst all is a dangerous habit that will definitely lead t

"Unbelievable, this is.... India has won the Natwest Final out of nowhere, credit goes to two young guns, Yuvraj Singh and Mohammed Kaif" was being announced when suddenly the camera turned towards the famous Lords' balcony and an over delighted Sorav Ganguly came out pushing VVS Laxman aside and in the euphoria, removed his Jersey and waved to the crowd. The entire crowd not only on the ground but every cricket fan who had just switched on their televisions enjoyed this act of the captain. Many symbolic representations - It was sheer happiness of rising from the ashes with absolutely no chance of winning the game, and more importantly, it was a befitting reply to a similar act done by Andrew Flintoff at Mumbai after England had won a match. *** About the Natwest Series 2002, it was a tri-series involving India, England, and Sri-Lanka. The matches were played over two weeks and the best of the two teams - India and England made it to the finals. Indian Cricket lovers alw

“I had read-only in the books, seen in the Bollywood movie, but never expected it to happen in my life, RK” whispered a giggling Aradhana to Ramakrishnan. “To have this moment, I had gone through hell literally and you know it. I’m happy to be witness this moment myself” laughed back RK. “RK, this is Udit uncle, our neighbour, come take his blessings” “Yeah, yeah, Uncle please bless us” said RK and the couple bowed down. “How can I forget him?” thought RK in his mind. His mind went into a flashback and all he could remember was the sound “Thud” the tight slap on his face by this same person. ****** Ramakrishnan was a typical South Indian guy with very few friends. RK, fondly called by family and friends, was a very passionate guy. He was very passionate about Cricket and used to be glued to his television watching matches for hours. His mind was a data storage machine and he could remember numbers. If anyone wanted to know any friend’s birthday, know the date of the last me

However, sensing the challenges from neighbouring countries, it was very important for India to put across its point bluntly. The problem was conducting these tests was not easy in many aspects. The geographical location for conducting such tests was not conducive to natural protection. After much study, 'Pokhran' in Rajasthan w

"These Gol-Gappas are so yummy, I just cannot stop even after having 2 plates of those," said a laughing Seema and gobbled one more. "Just be careful Seema, age is catching up and so are the eyes of the onlookers," giggled Anisha. "Duniye mein sabse bada rog, kahenge kya log," reverted Seema with a laugh. Both were having a gala time at their best friend Avinash's wedding. This wedding was the most anticipated event for the entire gang of Sriram College. Avinash was the last bachelor of the group and everyone was interested for a get-together rather than the marriage. Almost everyone in the group promised to make it up for the marriage but as always only half of the gang members reached. Fun was in the air and people were enjoying the party. "Arun!!! Gosh, you have become a Macho!!! How are you man?" exclaimed Anisha, while she gave an elbow-nudge to Seema. Seema gave her a cold look and continued relishing her Gol-Gappas. "Hie Anisha, I

The Beginning

As every beginning has an end, every end is a new beginning The beginning of something new or a better version of the same thing A student who is exuberant after qualifying any exam, with strife Finds himself enrolled for a newer course, which is beginning a new race of life Every batsman takes a fresh guard after scoring a century in a match Being focused throughout is tough, and this marks the beginning of a new patch Every research which has just concluded and proves the hypothesis Makes way for the beginning of new research or at least has a synthesis As every beginning has an end, every end is a new beginning The beginning of something new or a better version of the same thing You can never be always wrong or right in an argument Every act can change its nature, depends on that particular moment The most important aspect lies in action, doing an act Many experts, unfortunately, only say but never do, is also a fact When an action is taken, the outcome may be predicted perfectly Th
