The Fall

Rakesh and his trekking team does some magnificent   job for Conservation of Forts built by the Great Maratha Warrior - Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.  The entire team travels to different forts on weekly basis, analyses the existing situation at fort, comes back and calls for a meeting of core members, decide the course of action to be taken. The visiting team is generally of lesser number while the executing team is large. One word of caution, that Rakesh shares is whenever Fort Conservation is to be done - Approval from concerned Authority is compulsory. All forts are taken care by different authorities like Archaeological Department or Forest Officer or Gram Panchayat.  A Written permission is required approving the nature of work any team is going to perform because these are historical monuments and you may be held responsible for any damage happening now or some time later too. The application sent to above Authorities must have all the detailing of the work to be undertaken so tha

The 'New' Normal - Online Teaching (My experiences)

When online teaching was enforced upon teachers, the first to stand up and accept the challenge was Coaching Class teachers. It was really difficult to adapt to the new way of teaching. MCOA, our parent association, swung into action immediately and taught the new ways to be adapted and various tools available for online teaching. The  most experienced teachers were the most affected ones as their age was not allowing them to Shift the Paradigm. Their belief in the existing system of Classroom teaching was strong and the students in front of them are better manageable than those who hid behind their names on screen was very true.  Starting early gave them control over the way the lectures were being conducted. Some additional time was now invested for preparing PPTs to make lectures interesting and improving typing speed for better reach to students.Kudos to each teacher who took efforts at this level for this mammoth task on hand. With dawn of August, it was almost 4 months of online

That day, Arjun woke up suddenly early morning. Actually, he could not sleep the entire night. It was his results day and he knew for himself that he had not attempted his papers to the best of his abilities and he knew somewhere down the line that he would not be able to cross even this time. This was his 3rd attempt at Board Exams and Arjun somehow could not give his best when it came to studies. Though his parents did not say anything through words but their actions always pointed out his failure. Arjun digested these gestures but he was frustrated from inside as this education was ruining his otherwise normal life. This frustration was slow-poisoning his mind and he was becoming a victim of depression too. His mother came rushing to him, she tried to calm his nerves as she was aware of things going through her child's mind His father though did not talk to him, gave a glance and moved away. He completed his morning Chores and went to school to know about his result. Anxiety and

Raj was lazying on his sofa after finishing his work for the day. It has been a frustrating period of Work from Home since past 2-3 months due to Covid -19 situation.  Just then the phone buzzed and a Whatsapp message popped. It was message from his good friend, Suraj - "Urgently need A -ve blood. If you have any reference, please contact Mr. Suraj, phone number xxxxxxxxx, Get Well Hospital". New Education Policy 2020 - My views

Image
The New Education Policy 2020 was approved by the Union Cabinet bringing about transformational reforms in the Schooling system as well Higher Education existing in our Country. A first glimpse of the Policy highlights various positive initiatives w.r.t development in the World of Education. To be at par with international level, it is absolutely necessary to revamp the entire existing system.  The NEP 2020 proposes to change the existing 10+2 pattern to a 5+3+3+4. The Concept of Education through Play for the toddlers is a Wonderful thought process which would be coupled with Teachers Training for the same simultaneously.  Further, to improve the basic learning and writing through a National Mission for students of 6 years to 9 years is appreciable too. At the next stage, The concept of Skill development through Vocational Training and Internship would be path breaking thought process.  Also introducing Coding at 6th Grade is an appreciable move to bring out revolution in  the field o

Illusion (Post 2)

Anand a 9 year old jovial child with lot of energies stayed in Mumbai with his parents. He used to jump, play, kick, dance throughout the day. The result was obvious, his parents were unable to control the energies and used to get frustrated. This would end up being some beatings or mouth lashings.  Anand, was least bothered about such consequences and enjoyed being in his fantasy world. Even after 10 minutes of these drama in the house, he could be seen repeating the activities with same zeal and enthusiasm. Those 10 mins after the lashings were quiet moments in life of Anand. Nothing was different at school too, He was the most Out-Standing (pun intended) Student in the classroom. Parents were being called regularly for complaining about the mischiefs of the little boy. This added to the rift between child and the parent at home too. To worsen the situation, Anand failed in the class test too. Ramesh, Uncle of Anand, was called upon specially to help Anand and their parents to find w

The words 'Finish' and 'Complete' are used interchanably Even the dictionary terms them as Synonms used widely There is a thin line of difference between the two There are many instances where replacing does not suit too Sharing a few examples which comes to mind Hope you read ahead and I'm able to bind Finish is  derived from a Latin Word - Finitum Completed is derived from Latin word - Completum A Semi-circle is not a Complete Circle for sure to say Even though the child has finished his homework for the day The breakfast served is said to be 'finished' not completed Any Course registered is generally to said to be Completed Its said, the Complete collection of music albums is awesome Finishing an incomplete project is priority for some An incomplete form filled may be a Finished job for a guy Answers to many of questions may be irrelevant for him to buy Why did Katappa kill Bahubali irked minds of everyone when audience Finished watching Bahubali One Thei

" Careful" shouted Prathamesh as the Car Skeetched to sudden halt. Everyone sighed a relief as it was almost edge of the Valley. The sudden stop sent a chill down the spine and Nainesh was shivering with fright now. He wanted a break from driving. Sujal knew to drive, so he went to driver's seat but the car failed to start.  Being Mid-December and close to Amavasya, the night was darker and the watch clocked 8pm. Everyone got out of car, the road was empty and very few vehicles were passing by. The worst part was they did not knew their exact location as the GPS signals failed in all the mobiles.  The chillness in the air compelled them to get back to car.  The initial few moments passed away by jokes shared by each one of them. The jokes became stories and obviously, horror stories found the way of discussion. This put additional burden on Nainesh, who was already petrified and he requested others to stop the stories session. There was a disturbing calmness within the ca

You

The Central character of 'You' is O Which simply means the person we owe Life is a journey of me and you This simple logic understood by very few The entire world is busy doing for self What one forgets, is to lend a hand for help There is nothing wrong is earning money But whats in a life when its lonely, honey!!! One will not understand this unless they move out Have the compassion in heart to see without a doubt We live in the luxuries of life blessed upon us Many keep a smile on face, to hide all the fuss The night lockdown was announced as a measure Many flocked the stores to get things under pressure Needed or not immediately did not cross their mind In this process, did they not forget the basics of mankind? Very close to us, amongst the many of hutments The news of lockdown broke all their adjustments Amongst the basic needs of life, food ranks one Some had grains for a few days and few had none For us, lockdown is a punishment inside four walls Further, it cut our free

Water love

"Its my time to drink water along with my love for my love" declared Raja looking at his watch. "What??" asked Rafiq amusingly. Raja took him to the window and pointed out towards the Moon which was shining in the night sky like a King. Still Rafiq was confused, though he did not utter a word, his face gave away everything. Raja and Rafiq were part of the gang which had gone to Matheran for a night out with friends. Everyone had climbed Matheran this eveninng by walk, enjoying, singing, pulling each others leg and now were resting when Raja made this statement. Actually, he was the most mischievous boy in the gang. Always smiling on himself, cracking jokes and doing everything that others in the gang liked him. He was the heart of the gang. To say more about him, Raja was a happy-go-lucky teenager and enjoyed being very active. He was very good at mimics and would enact dialouges of parents of his friends and make everyone laugh at any time of the day. Not so
