The Three controversial decisions during India Pakistan T20 world cup match

Image
The three controversial decisions at # Indiapak #t20worldcup2022 match on 23/10/2022 and the cricketing laws regarding the same. 1) The Axar Patel runout - Though the ball hitting the stumps was evident, whether it hit first or later was the question. The only consideration the third umpire took it seems was the ball was travelling towards the stump and in all sense it would have cost the batsman his wicket. This was the most controversial decision but least discussed. 2) The 4th ball which was a full toss bowled by Nawaz was a tight call by the onfield umpire. The rule book says once an onfield umpire declares a No-ball, the Third Umpire cannot reverse the same. when the ball hit the bat, it was above waist height but Virat was out of the crease and on his front foot, this led to massive controversy. The leg umpire was composed and within his rights called it a No-ball. 3) On the Free hit ball, when Virat was clean bowled, India ran 3 runs.  Many cricketing pundits thought it was

Gestures

Image
That evening still stays fresh in my mind When I promised to meet her alone for the first time Lots of anxiety within I covered wearing my best outfit As I began the preparations, "Where at this time?" A question from the Supreme Court of my house Brought me back to my senses from my dreamworld "Going to Karan's place for studies," I replied instantly As I stepped out in the open air, I felt a different world My mind zoomed into an a overdrive of emotions My gestures and actions amused every person around I reached an hour before the scheduled time to the spot The place was barely occupied but I was blusing happily I waited with baited breath for her to appear at the horizon At a distance, I found her walking towards me gingerly My heart started beating loud for everyone around to hear To relax myself, I closed my eyes, and wait for the magic As I opened my eyes, I could see her passing by wihout waiting  She gestured silently, her family was walking besides he

The Enterpreneur-ship

Image
"I wish to own premises like this one," I said to Rama sipping the 'cutting' tea.  He laughingly asked, "What will you do when you grow up?"  "I have a business plan, I will open the first music centre of the city along with the regular milk supply and the paper supply, like our 'shet' does." I replied proudly. "Wow.. that is amazing yaar. You will give me a job na?" seriouly, he asked. Those were the days when I was a milk delivery boy and a paper delivery boy. My day started at 5:00am. Though the body wanted to sleep for a few more minutes, the mind wanted to become a rich man of the city. Having 100 litres of milk on each hand, I used to go walking to each of the 200-250 houses delivering milk. Some households had fixed requirement, while many of the chawl house owners purchased on cash basis daily. The challenge those days were not carrying 100 litres of milk but the dog barks and dog chases. Each day, there would be a new st

The Last Meet

Image
Last meet, yeah, it was our last meet I felt so conscious how will I greet? She was always there in my heart Time flew, her memories never depart Summer, winter, rains, you and me together Both of us stormed through the tough weather That sipping of tea at the tea stall till being late Time spent with you is the best till date The rush hours in the train we usually travelled The push brought your smile, kept me baffled The flashback kindled those moments sweet Last meet, yeah, it was our last meet!!! Yesterday a call from her, caught me unaware True caller flashing her name made me stare I said a normal “hi” with lots of apprehension The other side’s pause reflected her tension “Can we meet tomorrow?” she broke the ice I cannot say a “No”, both knew it precise Unknowingly, I reached the spot an hour before Those passing moments were too tense to ignore The moment she surfaced, my heart skipped a beat I froze with open jaws even in the summer heat “You reached early today” h

From Village to city

Image
Shifting from a village to city, the modern man has paid huge cost Though he has lots of amenities, he finds himself totally lost   Having luxuries all around, he still searches for happiness Sacrificing all that was available, he always lands into unhappiness   Selling off huge acres of land, he squeezes into a few square feet Leaving the joint family system, the nucleus family makes him feel complete   Lying on the rope cot, he wove many a dreams of being successful The soft mattress today drove away his sleep, which he always had felt peaceful   The purity in the air, the taste of the food, the selfless love he got are gone He now consumes toxic air, and junk food, the people around lazy and withdrawn   Bottles of sugary drinks replaced the fun of Ice water, and extinct became the sweet candy Missing are those friends and family who at difficult times were always handy   The cowdung smeared floors got replaced by sparkling and shining tiles Th

Prison of thoughts

The moment she finished her presentation Punching the air she vented her frustration After years of hard work, she enjoyed this elevation He quietly noticed a higher dose of aggression   During regular office hours, he kept a watch on her She had now become a professional from amateur Hardly was there any work, she did defer Earning her accolades and recognition on offer   Amongst the goodness, she seemed lost in her world There were times she would weep and stay curled No counseling helped her as she never unfurled She was caught in a prison of thoughts without a word   From a few instances, the occurrences increased rapidly His presence of mind made him realize his responsibility Counseling her, he encouraged to break her captivity Reluctantly she tried because it affected her productivity   After several bouts with failure, she gave up the fight The strong support besides her, he gave the advice right Both approached a psychologist for h

The 10 rupee coin in the Land of Charminar

Image
Whenever I land on this Land of Charminar, I land into problems. Actually, problems welcome me with open arms and seem to never get enough of me here. The first such instance was the September of 2006 when the young boy within me was lured by the shadi ka ladoo and the rest is history.  For the world, I tied three knots but today I literally felt squeezed between those three knots. Aah!! Cut down... Today as I entered the General stores, I saw a white beared chacha sitting at the corner of the shop with a fractured hand. I thought to myself "what pains to the poor chap at this age?" His hoarse voice, " Bolo kya chaiye" brought me back to my senses and I searched for the list of items to be purchased. I had been handed over a list of small items to be brought for a mega family function. Mega function not in terms of volume or people, but in terms of achievement for sure.  On his 70th birthday, my Father in law was being felicitated by conducting 'Bhimarathashanti

Amnesty

Image
28th May marks birth anniversary of the Veer Savarkar A fierce revolutionary, also a staunch Hindutva supporter Many opinions in favour and against still linger around this historical figure  Even through many of his acts, controversies he would trigger While being imprisoned at the Cellular Jail As per his brother's testimony, his health started to fail This is the time when he wrote letters seeking bail These letters gave power to the opposition to upper their tail Presumed to be written by the revolutionary seeking Amnesty  The opposition blamed it as an act of cowardice, not grounds of humanity The supporters argued it was a 'Prisoner's Right' to fight against the brutality To add, they said those requests were for all prisoners, not for himself in totality Only the history knows what happened those days  Every person today interprets the same story in his own ways  Five decades passed, still someone stirs the controversial craze Rather than respect the revolutionar

Late

Image
“Sorry for being late” is an excuse people use regularly One always reaches on time he actually plans internally It may be a delayed time for the external world It’s actually the time to reach one had preferred The time that’s decided for the work to begin Is the contributing factor to make his plan win This factor though important is always controllable Ignoring the same leads to situations uncontrollable Keeping a buffer to reach the destination helps in many ways For there may be unseen stoppages and blockages always Moving ahead, helps to keep the momentum going The unwanted negative thoughts uprooted helps growing Being late every time is a negative trait Acceptance and improvement needed to change the fate Being late never means one is destined to fail For it only means, success is a delayed tale Once the journey begins, it’s necessary to move Reaching the destination is a matter only to prove On time or a bit late, depends on many more factors The success of the jour

The Matchstick

Image
Every ignited mind is a match-stick Ready to fire at the slightest flick A boon as fire spreads all around quick A bane when used by mind that is sick   The success of revolutionary movements Largely belonged to the gang of students Those who voluntarily joined without judgments Gave everything with full commitments   Mother India has experienced it all The flame of freedom lit and gave a call Many sons of the soil joined, big or small They kept arising after every fall   Many match-sticks did became useless Losing their own spark, they became juiceless Some tamed by Britishers making them toothless Others falling prey to offers being clueless   A few of the match-sticks though fought brilliantly They sacrificed their lives, kindled the fire consistently Freedom is the result of that fire burning persistently Those young matchsticks held the flame resiliently   A match-stick is a perfect example of controlled aggression While it can
